Gospel Artist Machipisa Aims to Inspire Through Music and Faith
By Staff Reporter
Emerging gospel artist Sharleen Machipisa is reaching new heights after seven years in the music scene, where her journey began in a church choir.
“While I’ve loved music from a young age, my journey truly began about seven years ago when I joined the church choir and praise and worship team. That experience solidified my passion and provided a foundation for where I am today,” said Machipisa.
Deeply inspired by her faith, Machipisa feels guided by the Holy Spirit in her music.
“I believe the Holy Spirit directs my creativity, leading me to create songs that uplift, encourage, and minister to God’s people. It’s about using music to speak life and touch hearts,” she said.
While fans’ positive reactions keep her motivated, Machipisa also faces challenges typical of many emerging artists.
“One of the biggest challenges is gaining visibility, like getting airtime on radio or TV shows, but I’m exploring various avenues to connect with a wider audience,” she added.
Machipisa hopes to make a positive impact through her music, sharing the message of the Cross, spreading hope, and collaborating with other artists as she continues to grow.
