There Is No Harm In Dialoguing Says Chamisa

Opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader Nelson Chamisa says there is no harm in having a dialogue between himself and President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
In an interview with a local radio station, Chamisa said the lack of communication is a testimony of a sick society.
“It’s good to dialogue, it’s good to have a conversation, would you believe that we are going again into a contest with Mr. Mnangagwa but we have never had a conversation since the last time… The last time I saw him was at the late president Tsvangirai’s home when he was not well. That was the last time, we have never had a phone call, we have never had a conversation. What that tells you is we are a sick society,” said Chamisa
In an interview recently, President Mnangagwa castigated Chamisa’s attempts to communicate through the press, stating that if the opposition leader truly desired a conversation, he should approach him directly instead of utilizing media channels.
“He (Chamisa) goes to the press to want to talk to me, if you want to talk to me, come to me not the press. I will not reply to statements in the press. A solid leader knows what to do if you want to talk to a colleague.” President Mnangagwa said
The country has been grappling with numerous challenges, including economic instability and political tensions which many believe can be addressed through dialogue involving the two political leaders.
The two will once again face off in the harmonised elections set for the 23rd of August this year which will mark the second time they contest each other following the disputed 2018 elections.
