Popular Chamisa Supporter Faces Eviction From His Rural Home
Popular opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activist, Godfrey Karembera, popularly known as Madzibaba Veshanduko is reportedly facing eviction from his rural home.
In a Twitter, CCC spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere said the party is yet to establish the reason behind the intended eviction.
“We have received a report that Madzibaba Veshanduko is facing eviction from his homestead. He’s been summoned to the chief’s court this morning in the court of Chief Chiporiro. We are yet to be briefed on the full facts of the matter. Once we have the full brief we will respond appropriately,” Mahere said
Karembera a staunch CCC supporter who never misses party activity was early last year arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and undermining the authority of the police after he allegedly insulted them at Copa Cabana bus terminus area.
He is known for openly wearing his yellow garment and he alleges that he was tortured for wearing the garment in Harare Central Business District (CBD).
Following the arrest Madzibaba Veshanduko as he is affectionately known was hospitalised before being arraigned at the Harare Magistrates court and the matter is still pending.
