The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Bulawayo has confirmed the arrest of nineteen year old maid Kimberly Ncube in connection with kidnapping and vehicle theft that occurred at her employer’s house.
Ncube who was on the run following reports of kidnapping and theft is said to have been spotted by members of the public who informed the police.
The one year eight-month-old boy was found in healthy condition
“The ZRP confirms the arrest of a maid, Kimberley Ncube (19) in connection with cases of kidnapping a baby boy (1 year 8 months) and theft of a white Sedan BMW 328i vehicle, registration number AEA 8833 which occurred on 31/10/22 at her employer’s residence along Mackenzie Road, Paddonhurst. The arrest led to the recovery of the stolen vehicle and re-union of the baby with his family,” said the ZRP
It could not be ascertained as to why she had kidnapped the baby and investigations are underway to establish the reason.
