By Edward Makuzva

In a sign of solidarity and support for Zimbabwe’s democratic progress, the State of Palestine has dispatched a high-level delegation to observe the harmonized elections, according to Ambassador Dr. Tamer Almassri.

This delegation, representing various Palestinian independent agencies, is led by Mr. Hisham Kuhail, CEO of the Palestine Central Elections Commission.

It also includes two Palestinian diplomats from the Harare Embassy.

Ambassador Almassri emphasized the importance of this mission, highlighting that it underscores Palestine’s commitment to a transparent and fair electoral process in Zimbabwe.

The delegation will be actively monitoring polling stations throughout the election day.

“Before concluding their mission, the delegation will conduct a thorough assessment of the election proceedings, reaffirming the State of Palestine’s dedication to ensuring that these elections produce credible and legitimate results,” Ambassador Almassri stated.

Zimbabweans will go to the polls on Wednesday to choose the country’s President, Members of Parliament and Councilors.
