An Old Mutual manager allegedly raped a 23-year-old student multiple times while she was on an internship at the company sometime in 2022.
Nyasha Dube Manyika appeared before Harare magistrate Marewanazvo Gofa charged with rape.
The matter was rolled over to 15 January for possible trial date allocation.
It is alleged that sometime November 2022 the accused person sent a whatsapp message to the complainant inviting him to pack some banners at Old Mutual gardens.
Upon arrival Manyika opened his office and the two put some banners inside and the accused locked his office door.
Further allegations are that he then pushed the complainant on the table and pulled her dress up to the burst and removed her skin tight and pants to knee level.
It is the State’s case that Manyika then pulled his shorts to knee level and had sexual intercourse with the complainant once without her consent.
On the 19th of June 2024 Manyika reportedly called the complainant and met at Ashbrittle shops. He then invited the complainant into her car and had sexual intercourse once without her consent.
