Notorious Bouncers Granted Bail
By Staff Reporter
The High Court has granted bail to two notorious Harare bouncers who sparked trouble at Pabloz Night Club in Borrowdale last year.
Gideon Sanyangore, 32, and Blessing Kumunda, 36, attacked patrons at the popular club and had been languishing in custody since December 30.
The pair had been denied bail by the magistrates’ court after they were charged with attempted murder and are also facing multiple counts of assault and public violence.
On Monday, Sanyangore and Kumunda heaved a sigh of relief when High Court Judge Justice Lucy Mungwari granted them ZW$100 000 bail each following a successful bail appeal.
Justice Mungwari ordered the duo to continue residing at their given addresses, to surrender their passports, and not to interfere with State witnesses.
The two violent bouncers were arrested after a video of them assaulting patrons and attempting to stab the private security guards at Pabloz went viral on social media.
Another viral video shows Sanyangore slapping a patron at Mashwede in Glen View hard after splashing him with alcohol.
