Award winning Zimdancehall artiste Winky D’s fans took to twitter to celebrate the musicians 40th birthday today.
Born and bred in Harare’s Kambuzuma suburb Winky D also known as Dancehall Igwe, Gaffa, Ninja President, Proffessor, Extraterrestrial (stylized as ChiExtra) etc. is often considered the Zimdancehall pioneer and one of the most accomplished modern Zimbabwean music artists.
Among those celebrating Winky D’s birthday is Harare West legislator Joana Mamombe who posted on social micro blogging platform.

Former Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) youth assembly leader Obey Sithole said Winky D’s life was a gift to Zimbabwe through his music.
“His life has been and remains a gift to the citizens of Zimbabwe as he is religiously committed to educate through entertainment and in doing so fearlessly speaking on behalf of the downtrodden. Happy birthday to @winkydonline the Gaffa. More life chiBiggie!!!” Sithole said
