Teenager Appears In Court for Unauthorized Distribution of Comedian Mai TT’s Daughter’s Private Image

A 19-year-old man has appeared in court on charges of unauthorized distribution of private images, following an incident where he allegedly circulated images of comedian Mai TT’s daughter, Fifi, on social media without her consent.
Amir Edwin Mhaka, appeared before Harare magistrate Caroline Matanga. He was granted US$50 bail and the matter was rolled over to 15 May for trial.
The complainant is Felisha Muzeya who is popularly known as Fifi, she is 18-years-old. According to court papers, accused person is the complainant’s ex-boyfriend.
The State represented by Mandirasa Chigumira alleges that Fifi and Mhaka met on social media, INSTAGRAM and began dating on social media sometime during the year 2020.
They later met physically and continued with the relationship until they broke up April 2022 when they had a misunderstanding.
During the course of their relationship the accused person asked for the complainant’s nudes and she sent them to him. She sent her nude pictures several times to the accused person.
It is further alleged that soon after the break up, the accused person started sending text messages threatening to expose the nudes on social platforms if she cut ties with him.
The text messages prompted the complainant to keep him close as a friend.
On 18 March 2023; the complainant started dating someone else and the accused person found out.
Further allegations are that he was not happy with it and started sending the complainant’s new boyfriend some disparaging things about the complainant.
On the 9th of April 2024 at round 2100 hrs the complainant’s sister, Tanatswa Mutikani told the complainant that there were nude pictures of her trending on the social media.
The complainant asked for the photos and they were sent to her and she confirmed that the pictures were hers. They were the ones that she had sent to Amir Mhaka.
She was sure that she had sent them only to Amir when they were still dating.
