An unidentified Harare man survived a suicide attempt after jumping off the top of Tanganyika Building at the corner of 3rd Street and Kwame Nkrumah Avenue this afternoon.
The man jumped off the building despite an attempt to grab him by a man who was negotiating with him at the building.
The man’s fall was broken by the roofing of a small building structure below which absorbed the impact.
Firefighters rescued the man who was taken to hospital badly hurt but alive.
It could not be ascertained as to why the man wanted to take his life.
