Robert Mugabe Junior Freed

Late President Robert Mugabe’s son Robert Jnr (31) who was arrested on suspicion of malicious damage to property has been freed after the State ordered an out of court settlement.

According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Mugabe Jnr was arrested on Malicious Damage to Property allegations after a complaint by his friend Nkatazo Sindiso (31) that he destroyed property worth USD12 000.00 at house in Strathaven, Harare.

Robert Tinotenda Mugabe Junior, (31), was arrested on Monday 20 February 2023, according to a police report.

Robert Mugabe junior, who was represented by Ashiel Mugiya and Tungamirai Muganhiri, was freed after consultation with the prosecuting authority.

According to the lawyers, the case was not supposed to be reported, but it was just a misunderstanding with his colleagues and the misunderstanding was not criminal.

Mugabe did not appear in court and the matter was decided at the vetting by the prosecution.
