A 63 year old Caucasian man fell to his death from the 8th floor of Crowne Plaza Monomotapa hotel early Thursday morning in a suspected suicide.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the incident saying investigations are underway and would provide more details in due course.
“The ZRP is investigating the circumstances in which a 63 year old man jumped to death from a local hotel’s eighth floor on 12/01/23 at 0830 hrs. More details will be revealed in due course,” said the ZRP
A vendor who sells his wares near the hotel said he just heard a heavy sound only to find out it was a man.
“I heard a loud thud and was shocked to find out that it was a man who had fallen from a hotel room, I initially thought it was an electrical explosion”, said the vendor.
